Replacement engines from Japan?

I have a 1990 Toyota Camry LE, V-6, with a blown head gasket or cracked block. I was thinking of getting one of those replacement engines from Japan. Might be cheaper just to pay for an engine swap than pay to have a mechanic tear the bad motor down.

This is a good way of gettng a good cheap engine with low milage. Even under California emission laws, California seems like some hick ville when it comes to emissions compaired to Japan. Japan is very strict. If an engine gets to a certing milage the
